CitySpace Storytime: "The Big Orange Splot" by Daniel Pinkwater

CitySpace Storytime is a new, virtual series featuring WBUR hosts and reporters reading some of their favorite children's books. WBUR news anchor Sharon Brody kicks things off with "The Big Orange Splot," by Daniel Pinkwater.

About "The Big Orange Splot"

Mr. Plumbean decides to paint his house every color of the rainbow, much to the neighbors' dismay, all because of the big orange splot — caused by a seagull dropping a can of orange paint on his house.

Special thanks to Daniel Pinkwater for giving us permission to read his awesome book! If you'd like to add "The Big Orange Splot" to your book collection, you can purchase it from Harvard BookstorePorter Square Books or Brookline Booksmith.

You can also check out NPR's audio series Children's Literature With Daniel Pinkwater, hosted by Weekend Edition's Scott Simon.
