CitySpace Summer Camp Recap: Creative Writing Week!

WBUR CitySpace Summer Camp is a six-week series providing content to families with school age children. Each week we provide an assignment to tackle and families submit photos or a video of their completed project.

Last week our friends at 826 Boston provided three writing prompts to our campers and we asked them to pull out their pencils, pens, laptops and iPads to write something for us! What we got in return was beautiful poetry and heartfelt short stories about things happening in our campers' lives or around the world...not to mention lots of wondrous fairytales set in imaginary lands! Check it out.

Thanks to everyone who participated in creative writing week. We are so impressed. Keep telling your stories. Your voices matter! While we couldn't squeeze every piece into the recap, you can see full versions of the videos in our photo album here.

Some campers didn't record a video but did send us written versions of their stories and you can read them here:

A Dream Come True - Niara M.

A Magical Being - Aneesa M.

Back To School - Gyatri M.

Going Wild - Gargi M.

The Truth About Snow Cones - Gloria D-S.

WBUR CitySpace Summer Camp's creative writing week was brought to you in partnership with 826 Boston and Circle Round
