WBUR anchor Sharon Brody will emcee 826 Boston's Night of 1,000 Stories.

826 Boston is a nonprofit youth writing and publishing organization that empowers traditionally underserved students ages 6-18 to find their voices, tell their stories and gain communication skills to succeed in school and in life.

The Night of 1,000 Stories celebrates the many incredible stories of 826 Boston student authors and aims to raise critical funds for 826 Boston’s youth writing and tutoring programs.

You’ll enjoy stories from 826 Boston student authors, food and drinks and art, and get a chance to hear from featured speaker Jamie Hector. You may remember him as Marlo Stanfield on "The Wire," but Jamie Hector is also an author and the founder of the nonprofit Moving Mountains.
