
Laura Hertzfeld was WBUR’s director of cross-platform collaboration. She is an Emmy-winning producer, writer and editor focused on bringing impactful stories to life in new ways.
Prior to joining WBUR, Hertzfeld was director of the XR Partner Program at Yahoo, working with news organizations to develop engaging AR and VR content. Hertzfeld was a 2018-2019 John S. Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford University, where she studied the intersection of art, technology, and journalism and previously led Journalism 360, an immersive storytelling initiative from Google News Lab, Knight Foundation and ONA.
She has held leadership roles at EW.com, Larry King Now and PBS.org and was an editor on the original Yahoo News team. She also serves as a mentor for NEW INC artist fellows at the New Museum in New York City. Hertzfeld is a graduate of Barnard College, Columbia University.
