"Modern Love: The Podcast," the new collaboration between WBUR and The New York Times, launches Thursday.

Based on the popular New York Times column by the same name, the podcast brings the column's best essays to life with sound.

Jessica Alpert, WBUR's managing producer of program development, joined Morning Edition to talk about how this podcast got started.
