Boston police say 19 uniformed police officers and three civilian employees have tested positive for the coronavirus.

A police spokesperson said the officers who tested positive work in different parts of the city and are not concentrated in one neighborhood.

On Saturday, the city opened a dedicated testing site for first responders, including EMTs, firefighters and police officers, at Suffolk Downs in East Boston.

The first Boston police officer was reported to have tested positive for the coronavirus on March 22.

As of Monday, 5,752 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Massachusetts.
