In the presidential campaign, it has been an epically bad week for Donald Trump.

The list of prominent Republicans backing away from Trump is growing, as are the number of polls that show him trailing Hillary Clinton. New national polls show him 9 to 15 points behind. And swing state polls have Clinton solidly ahead in Florida, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

A WBUR poll in New Hampshire shows Trump trailing Clinton by 15 points. Trump is expected in New Hampshire this weekend after campaigning in Maine Thursday.

WBUR's political analysts — Democrat Dan Payne and Republican Todd Domke — joined Morning Edition to discuss the latest.

This segment aired on August 5, 2016.
