Poet Kevin Young On Hoaxes And Fake News15:59
PlayPoet Kevin Young began a new job this year as poetry editor for the New Yorker.
Young directs the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem. In November his latest book hit the shelves and was longlisted — even before its publication — for a National Book Award and an Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence.
The new book is "Bunk: The Rise of Hoaxes, Humbug, Plagiarists, Phonies, Post-Facts, and Fake-News." He's written a dozen other books of prose and poetry. Our WBUR colleague Kelly Horan spoke with him earlier this month, when he was in town.
