This is the Radio Boston rundown for October 19. Tiziana Dearing is our host.

  • As cases seem to be down, and the FDA prepares to take a "mix and match" booster approach, we take listener COVID-19 questions with Dr. Davidson Hamer, infectious diseases physician at Boston Medical Center, and Dr. Gabriela Andujar Vazquez, associate hospital epidemiologist at Tufts Medical Center.
  • After telling folks last year to steer clear of the Witch City, Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll is happy to be able to tell potential visitors that the city is open for business. We talk with Mayor Driscoll about how challenging it was to go without a celebration last year, and what folks can expect if they are headed to Salem over the next couple of weeks.
  • We revisit a portion of a conversation Monday night with Boston City Councilor and mayoral candidate Michelle Wu at WBUR's CitySpace. WBUR will host another town hall with Councilor Annissa Essaibi George on Thursday night.

This program aired on October 19, 2021.
