As if going back to school wasn't hard enough, students and teachers have a heat wave to deal with as well. Heat indexes of nearly 100 degrees Fahrenheit have complicated back-to-school plans across Massachusetts, though some districts— like Boston— are forging ahead.

WBUR's Carrie Jung and Max Larkin and Chelsea Public Schools Superintendent Almi Abeyta join the show.
