Comedian Shane Gillis has been effectively canceled — at least, that's how some people see his removal from "Saturday Night Live," just four days after he was hired. He was fired for racist remarks he made on a podcast in 2018.

Some have pushed back against the move from SNL, saying the show gave in to a toxic cancel culture that's gone too far.
