After a three-day recount, the Boston Election Commission announced Monday that Julia Mejia was the winner of the fourth and final at-large seat on the Boston City Council by one vote. Mejia finished with one more vote than Alejandra St. Guillen, who declined to challenge the recount through the courts and officially conceded the race yesterday. WBUR's Simon Rios was in the room as the recount finished and the final result was announced.

This segment aired on December 11, 2019.
