She was previously the senior audience development manager at WBUR, working cross-departmentally to understand and grow WBUR's digital audiences.
Before moving to Boston, Samata worked at a media-tech startup and a daily newspaper in India, where she's originally from. She has a postgraduate diploma in journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication and a master's degree in journalism from Boston University.
