In October WBUR hosted its annual celebration honoring The Makers, artists of color shaping the culture and arts landscape in Greater Boston. In 2025, The Makers focused on artists who use their creative practices to explore ecological issues, sustainability, climate justice and our relationship with the natural world. Artists in the cohort challenge perspectives and inspire action toward a more sustainable future.
This event was the culmination of a weeklong online and on-air editorial series from WBUR's arts and culture team. This year featured special performances from Jake Blount, Skooby Laposky and Marissa Molinar.
