The pandemic has exacerbated significant long-term issues in the region, including affordable housing.
Housing has become a key issue in the mayoral race. A recent poll sponsored by WBUR found that housing was second only to the pandemic as a priority for Boston voters in the upcoming Mayoral Election. The poll also found 76% of voters support some form of rent control.
As we emerge from the pandemic, how should housing in the city and across the region be addressed going forward? Joining us to talk about this is Boston City Councilor Lydia Edwards and Barry Bluestone, Professor Emeritus at Northeastern University, where he was Founding Dean of School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs.

This segment aired on June 3, 2021.
