Support WBUR
New chapters and renewed commitments. This was 2025 at WBUR.

So long, 2025. It was, to say the least, an eventful year for WBUR and our public media colleagues across the country. We experienced a monumental first together: the rescission of federal funds for public broadcasting.
And yet, as we aim to do with every challenge, we rose to meet the moment. That's thanks to you. Together, we've rallied in support of our mission. Even set fundraising records. This long game requires a lot of us, but we still know how to let the good times roll.
This year, you joined us as we celebrated 75 years of WBUR at our first-ever WBUR Festival! (Have you heard? It's back in May 2026.) 2025 also marked five years of On Point with Meghna Chakrabarti.
There were some other firsts, too! With NPR, we welcomed two new additions to Here & Now – co-host Indira Lakshmanan and executive producer Allan Price. We also launched our limited series Jaws Island and hosted our first Corporate Membership event at CitySpace.
No surprise here: We've got big ambitions for 2026. We're grateful that you'll be with us every step of the way. In the meantime, check out the many accolades earned by our colleagues this year. The list is abundant, just like our reasons to be thankful for another year with you.
